Outcome: Nice setup, but dry -- less than 10 cm.
Outcome
Resorts claimed 5 — 10 cm. Perhaps El Niño is finally biting.
Update (20 September):
It looks like there’ll still be a last cold blast, but 20 cm seems unlikely — maybe half that. Goodbye, season 2015.
Original post (17 September)
There’s been something brewing for next week for a while now. Don’t get too excited, but a modest lobe of polar weather is approaching, which may bring a late season 20 cm. This weak little season just keeps on hanging on — up high at least. At lower levels it’s already over.
So far this season ranks down there with 1957 and 1973 in terms of depth and even shorter in number of days. Sad. Next year better I hope.
