11-14 August

Outcome: Basically fizzed; Perisher Valley claimed less than 10 cm

Outcome:

This was a relatively powerful system, but the low pressure zone and associated precipitation tracked too far north to bring much snow to our alps. It demonstrates, once again, how fickle and fragile our snow weather is.

So far August 2015 seems to be holding up pretty well (if you discount 75 mm of rain at NSW resorts over the first weekend). More snowy weather is showing from early next week, following the usual 7-10 day winter cycle.
